Proposal for partnership in the pursuit to instill A CULTURE OF PERSONAL HYGIENE in our Adolescent teens and young adult (with special emphasis on the female gender) in Nigeria and west Africa sub region.

History : Kaddosh solutions and consult a charity arm of Kaddosh ventures and solutions foreclosures; as the name implies, is a nonprofit  volunteer organization and charity organization geared towards the well-being of all mankind with special emphasis on the west African sub region of Africa and Nigeria in particular. We noticed a lacuna in the aid delivery chain and humanitarian assistance program of most NGOs, charity organizations and their foreign partners, that if left unattended to will continue to diminish the overall intent of wanting to bridge the gap between reality and obscurity which of course remains endemic in the west Africa sub region.
Yes, REALITY AND OBSCURITY, most charitable Orgs and NGOs have the genuine intention of transferring basic necessities of life like Water, environmental health, food, clothing’s, education, housing and medicine which is the reality of life; obscurity is that despite all this efforts, there seem to be no noticeable trickle-down effect on the targeted receivers of this noble gestures, the poor and vulnerable population of the west African sub region.

Kaddosh consult, a charitable and educational enlightenment org, was conscripted and formed to assist in the direction of bridging the gap and closing up the lacuna between the delivery of charitable services and the obvious needs of its receivers.
We commend the works of the various sister agencies, orgs, charitable house, who have in no small measure assisted the African and sub Saharan populations come close to an average acceptable life worth living.

The 21st century came with a lot of good tidings for the African continent; large sums of Donor Aid poured in from all fronts, in this century the AIDS and HIV pandemic was challenged to a halt, and anti-retroviral drugs were now readily available to those in dire need of them.  We were witnesses to how once “at the point of death” individuals ravaged by the scourge of the AIDS pandemic suddenly became super healthy and bounced back to life. It was like raising the dead to life here in Africa, Nigeria. It was amazing.

PERSONAL AND PUBLIC HYGIENE ENLIGHTENMENT FOR CHILD, TEEN AND ADOLESCENTS

Our main target  are the chld, youth and adolescents in the society, covering from primary school class 3 right up to secondary school class 6, Male and female, but with special emphasis on the female child.

AIMS: to promote, educate, enlighten, imbibe, impart and instill a culture of excellent personal hygiene regimen in the African child in their developmental stage and monitor a sustained implementation of sanitation materials distribution to our receivers, who of course are our young sons and daughters ages from 8years to 19 years of age.

OBJECTIVE: to reach every young adolescent, teen and young adult and child in their formative years (just out of childhood and before adulthood) with the news of personal hygiene and the advantages it portends for them.
To educate them on the advantages of observing and adhering to top notch personal hygiene regimen.
To bring every African child, adolescent , teen and young adult up to speed with the various affordable sanitation kits and how this will help them achieve a’ healthy self’ and improve their general well-being ,and  immediate environment .

End objective and projections: we at Kaddosh Solutions consult envisage a hygienic aware public by the year 2040 in Nigeria and all over the West Africa sub region. We foresee this as an immediate reality going forward. The young adolescents, teens and young adult under the direct receivership of our information dissemination and sanitation kits shall be leaders and parents in the nearest future. They surely will transfer a culture of hygiene (STRICT HYGIENIC REGIMEN) to their children, followers and subjects, and in the not too distant future we shall all have a hygiene informed public.

Overview:
Kaddosh Solutions consult is in the forefront of all of this, pushing slowly but surely a hygiene-centric public in Nigeria particularly and West Africa in general.
Our emphasis on Nigeria is not actually deliberate, but based on her numeric strength in terms of population and her overall impact in the African continent.
If Nigeria can be clean and imparted with the basic hygiene ethos, than we can say that Africa will also be a direct beneficiary of this due to the multiplier effect that is bound to follow.
Nigerians travel and are scattered all over the African continent. Kaddosh solutions consult are excited. By virtue of this hygiene enlightenment and hygiene empowerment initiative, thousands of hygiene adherents are bound to carry with them, everywhere they go, good and strict hygiene regimen, especially among countries in sub Saharan Africa, hence spreading the news and culture of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
The Europeans came with some kind of sanitation regimen that helped in no small measure to sanitize our societies back then and is still of relevance today, relevant in the public, environmental and waste delivery chain.
What the Europeans imbibed in us is still with us even though they’ve all left for their countries immediately after independence.
Same will be the effects of kick starting this program in Nigeria, because just like the Europeans, Nigerians has high affinity for travelling and if properly harnessed can help disseminate this movement of personal hygiene enlightenment being canvassed and spearheaded by Kaddosh solutions consult.

Taking Hygiene To The Root. #itstarts
There are over 1100 primary and 380 secondary schools in Lagos state south west Nigeria. We also have over 1500 primary school and 350 secondary school in Ogun State south west Nigeria. This is a massive stretch that must be reached and covered in the nearest possible future, because when it comes to personal hygiene time is a very important factor. The faster the better.

During the course of our research and reach out around these educational facilities (public and private) scattered around Lagos and the Ogun axis in south western Nigeria, we came  face to face with quite an appalling levels of both personal and environmental hygienic dispositions.
Though we noticed the efforts of the managers of these facilities to maintain a clean environment and facility aesthetics, we were shocked at the almost near complete absence of personal hygiene enlightenment and sanitation.
We noticed that the public schools being financed and maintained by the Lagos and Ogun state government maintained some level of sanitation regimen, which included clean cut lawns, nice flowers, neatly planted trees, neatly painted buildings, toilets were cleaned, classroom were although seldom clean .
In all of this, the personal hygiene of the students and pupils wasn’t given the delibracy it demanded, although we noticed some passive moves to educate the pupils and students on the need for personal hygiene, and it stopped there.
We however commend the drafters of the school curriculum for both secondary school and primary schools in the ministry of education at the federal level and across the 36 states of the federal republic of Nigeria; they did a great job in trying to inculcate personal hygiene into the consciousness of our kids. I was a direct beneficiary of that curriculum. And it stopped there.
The government and private sectors cannot DO IT ALL. Kaddosh solutions consult is here to bring solutions to the glaring inadequacies in the hygiene and sanitation programs of various agencies by introducing a three pronged approach of ENLIGHTEN, IMPART AND EMPOWER.

In the course of our research across hundreds of primary and secondary schools across Lagos and Ogun state, we observed once again like I said before the near absence of personal hygiene awareness among the pupils and students of these educational facilities.
Whenever we had close knit interactive sessions with these very beautiful and highly admirable and intelligent sons and daughters of ours, the aura of the immediate environment of our gathering changes automatically. You immediately begin to perceive divers pungent and repugnant odors effusing from diverse individuals and locations. The comfort of that environment become immediately repulsive and unstayable: next is that you want to hurry with your speech and just get out of the place.
On one or two occasion, some of our volunteer developed some kind of allergic feelings, and one even had a running stomach.
It touched me in the marrows to see these young ones in a total vacuum as regards their personal hygiene. These beautiful young ones of ours co-inhabited the same classrooms but didn’t see the need to act. They were comfortable and never had concern to ask a thing about their personal hygiene.

I was poised to ask them questions, and I must say these young ones are very very intelligent and they don’t hold back the truth. With them is truth.
I asked Johnson, not real name, I asked him why his hair remained ruffled and he said “I don’t have a comb, my mummy doesn’t have money to buy for me” Johnson was 10yrs old.
I asked sefinatu, why her school uniform was as dirty as it could possibly be, and she answered me “ uncle , the moment I come back from school, my mom places a tray of ripe bananas on my head and orders me to go hawking and bring in money for the family” sefinatu was just 16yrs old.
I asked chidi, I asked him why he had a sort of body odor that one could possibly mistake for a biological or chemical weapons attack, and he answered” uncle I use to take my bath in the morning with only water, we don’t have bathing soap and even when we have it’s the bar soap (bar soap in Nigeria is specifically made to wash fabrics and clothing’s and not for bathing the body), ifeanyi is 14years old.
>>>>>>>>>
The list goes on and on and on, from not being able to buy detergents, to not having bathing soaps, to a broken comb, to not having a toothpaste and brush (resorting to chewing stick). On further probing we found out that young teenage girls in these educational facilities lack sanitary pads for the control and effective management of their menstrual cycle, hence they resort to all manners of dangerous options, like the use of torn clothing, dirty tissue papers, writing papers and even leaves. The results could be really really scary to say the least.

Kaddosh Solutions consult 3PRONGED APPROACH

Enlightenment:

sustained media enlightenment of the importance of personal hygiene to the pupils and students via the audio and print and vocal media.
a.     AUDIO: we are aware that 37% of secondary school students within Lagos/Ogun state axis have phones and these phones have memory cards. Kaddosh consult will disseminate short audio clips on the importance of personal hygiene to these young ones via Bluetooth into their devices during our interactive sessions with them, within their school facilities.
b.     PRINT: soft journals will be printed and distributed to these young adolescents, teenagers and children during our interactive sessions within their various educational facilities. This short soft journal will contain exclusive information concerning how to take good care of your body and immediate environment, advantages and disadvantages of compliance or non-compliance to the regimen contained therein. Hygiene and sanitation journals and tracts will also have pictorial illustrations to make communication easier to achieve with these young minds.
c.      VOCAL: is the age long means of information dissemination and this will be the major means of enlightenment during our interactive sessions. Also we shall use low noise emission speakers to broadcast within the city suburbs and ghettos. The aim of this is to reach out directly to the parents, siblings and relatives of these young beautiful kids, educating them on the importance of ensuring their little children get the best basic form of personal hygiene to guarantee them good health on the long run and mental wellness and alertness on the long run.

Impartation/Monitoring:

Here comes the most important part of our overall goal. To ensure the kids abide and comply. Without this we are only walking in circles. Kaddosh Solutions consult will go the extra mile to ensure a minimum of 85% compliance from these young ones. Our team of experienced child, teen and adolescent handlers would inculcate into these young lads a culture of personal hygiene regimen that would be adhered to and loved like ‘sport’.
We shall not force our beautiful young ones into compliance, but have developed an approach that will make them addicted to their personal hygiene. With this we can be assured of almost total compliance on all fronts, from PARENTS, CHILDREN AND ENVIRONMENT.
Kaddosh Solutions consult shall create hygiene compliance club within the various educational facilities, and hand these clubs over to be managed by these young ones and also to be mentored by the health science teachers or physical health education teachers.
We shall not walk alone in this. We shall liaise and cooperate with the various schools in all we set out to do, they are an integral part of this noble dream to bring into the consciousness of our young ones, top notch hygiene regimens that works.

Empowerment/Provision:
Nigeria is a great and powerful country. A leader in the African continent and highly regarded within international diplomatic circles.  The largest black nation on the planet.
But half of her population lives on less than a dollar a day. The levels of poverty can be serious in regions like these. Government is assiduously pursuing various ways of improving the economy and ameliorating the pain and pangs of poverty in the land. Their efforts are commended.
Many state governments in the federal republic of Nigeria have already granted free education from primary school up to the secondary school levels. The federal government introduced free feeding in some federally owned public school in Nigeria in collaboration with sates. Policies implemented to ameliorate the weight of poverty in the land.
However, in all of these noble programs and policies, the personal hygiene of these young ones has been neglected. And even when personal hygiene issues are brought forth for discussions, parents of these young ones were unable to meet up with the sanitation needs of their children, like providing them with BATHING SOAP, SANITARY PADS, TOOTHBRUSHES AND TOOTHPASTE, BATHING SPONGES, HAIR COMBS AND BRUSH, BODY SPARYS AND ROLL-ONS, and WASHING DETERGENTS ETC.
We at Kaddosh consult are in the know of how difficult it is for the poor parents of these vulnerable kids to afford some of these hygiene materials for their kids. Interestingly, all these materials listed above and complete is in no small measure able to guarantee for our children, teen and adolescents a high level of personal hygiene. However and unfortunately these materials remain completely out of the reach of most kids.
We in Kaddosh solutions consult in collaboration with you our esteemed sponsors and donors can and will make this happen. And by consistent diligence, we shall succeed. The personal hygiene of our young kids and teens is a must. We must work in tandem to achieving just that. It’s a task that must be done.

SANITATION KITS:
we intend to give out sanitation kits to these children, adolescents, teens and young adults. We have prepared a list of what a basic sanitation kits would contain to sustain an affordable and effective self-hygiene regimen. A bag, very handy shall be used as encasement. The bags shall come in handy and portable containing all or some of the following items BATHING SOAP, SANITARY PADS, TOOTHBRUSHES AND TOOTHPASTE, BATHIMG SPONGES, HAIR COMB AND BRUSH, BODY SPARYS AND ROLL-ONS, and WASHING DETERGENTS. We envisage that two bags of this sanitation pack could last the entire academic term of three month. With this in the hands of our young kids we can go to sleep knowing fully well that our future is safe and in-line with best global sanitation and personal hygiene requirements.
PARTNERSHIPS AND SPONSORSHIP.
Kaddosh consult is asking for partnerships and sponsorships from goodwill corporate organizations and well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists. We also seek corporate partnerships with the private sector in this direction. We aspire to be included in your CSR yearly, bi-yearly or quarterly disbursements , to enable us meet the financial calls of this noble ventures.
We also seek the sponsorship and partnership of well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists, assisting us philanthropically in this noble desire of building a hygiene sensitive and compliant generation.
We want to also solicit support in cash and in kind. We will accept cartons of these materials listed above like BATHING SOAP, SANITARY PADS, TOOTHBRUSHES AND TOOTHPASTE, BATHING SPONGES, HAIR COMBS AND BRUSH, BODY SPARYS AND ROLL-ONS, and WASHING DETERGENTS, for onward distribution to the respective recipients in primary and secondary schools starting from 3rd grade primary school, right up to 6th grade secondary school.

Kaddosh solutions consult will start this noble project with two primary and two secondary schools each from Lagos and Ogun state. Our objective is to grow rapidly within 12 calendar months to cover at least 100 primary and 100 secondary each from Lagos and Ogun state.

Conclusions: we are assured that with your partnership this noble gesture from Kaddosh ventures shall be an absolute reality. We look forward to raising a MoU with you. It’s in us to work for the overall prosperity and health of mankind, particularly our young kids in Nigeria with specific focus on the girl child. Our future must not be sacrificed on the altar of negligence, we must act now and act we will.
We humbly await your philanthropy, sponsorship and partnership.
We are making our young kids great again. #itstarts
