BFH bread from heaven

Today we distributed 200 loaves of 450g size bread to the most vulnerable in our immediate location.    Majority of recipients were lost and astonished at our concern and love for them.    They have been neglected all thier lives, and never experienced practical help from society. These are the vulnerable ones AAHDs is committed to help get out of the twin burden of hunger and disease in Africa.    Together we are creating an Africa free from hunger and communicable diseases. Join us as we spread love beyond boundaries.

Why is there hunger in Africa

The outlook for West Africa’s hunger crisis in 2013 has improved in some parts of the region compared to 2012 when 18 million people were at risk of hunger. But 2013 started with a warning from a UN official that more than 10 million people across the region are still at risk of starvation, including 1.4 million children facing severe acute malnutrition. Experts say food crises like those in 2005, 2010 and 2012 indicate an underlying trend for increasing chronic vulnerability. So why are so many people in the region frequently locked in a hunger crisis? Failed harvests Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Niger are among the poorest countries in the world, where most of the population rely on the land to make a living and to put food on the table. So when inadequate rains at the end of 2011 led to poor harvests in many staple crops, such as millet, it was bad news for millions. Livestock too took a significant hit and pastoralists suffered as well. Even in normal harvest years, people’...

Tracing the source of deprivation.

Before the advent of colonialism, hunger and diseases in Africa was virtually non existent. There in Africa, the colonialist met very healthy well fed ,strong fabled men women and children. They appeared so strong the colonialists compared them to machines. These very strong well fed and healthy Africans were then transported to agricultural plantations, they were used as tractors , mowers, harvesters etc. These Africans rarely fell sick and seldomely tired. Reasons? They were farmers, they ate the freshest groceries, their immune system was at its peak, they were very busy hunters and their culture abhorred uncleanliness. The coming of the various ages of the machines and computer invaded the rural lifestyle of these Africans ,and prompted a massive rural urban migration. Farms were abandoned, cultures forgotten and beliefs redefined. The urban areas were totally overwhelmed by this geometric population swell. The metropolitan systems collapsed; the sewage systems failed, was...

Where there is no food.

Image
The overall goal of humanity is to exist and be alive to achieve our dreams. This can only be guaranteed when there is good food to eat and clean water to drink.          Where there is no food the people perish. Can you imagine the entire earth go for 90days without food? That will hasten our collective extermination.        The impact of hunger on a society ,far more, outweigh the destruction left behind by a nuclear weapons strike. Amazing isn't it. Hunger and poor hygiene, on numerous occasions cost Africa some of her brightest. They were lost to malnutrition, hunger, treatable diseases etc. These ones can never be replaced, but we have a duty to protect and defend those that are here alive. We must protect and defend them from the twin scourge of hunger and diseases.     AAHDs will direct its emphasis to providing basic feeding for both young children, adults and the aged population. Just like...

Taking the Lion by it's beard

" The heart is strong , until weeping eyes softens it " Ivorian proverb. AAHDs is committed to bringing food and hygiene to the vulnerable poor , dejected and   weeping African population. It costs about $140 to feed a soul in Africa monthly , and $25 will provide soaps , bleach and detergents ( monthly ) to stay clean and healthy . A lot of Africans consume imbalance diets . This lack of adequate nutrients end up affecting the uniformity in bodily growth , brain development and ultimately a weak immune system . AAHDs has identified all these and is working to remedy it . Clean hands , clean clothes and clean   environment , if adhered strictly to , are   enough to cut diseases by 78% among Africans . Our mission is to combat hunger and diseases in the same swoop. As we strive to move love beyond boundar ies .

We have mapped out locations where these vulnerable population reside. We may not have the resources to get them a home, but we are determined to feed them and teach them the best hygienic practise to stay healthy.. We seek your partnership as we take love beyond boundaries.

With a poverty chunk of 45%, Nigeria is in dire need of food handouts. In AAHDs, we are working to achieve just that.
We are opposed to hunger and diseases ravaging homeland Africa. We can, together feed them , clean them up, and resettle them easily only if we agree that we can. Why not rise up today and take a duty . AAHDs work round the clock brainstorming on ways to better African vulnerable population.
