Learn, practice, and teach healthy habits. #1 Handle & Prepare Food Safely Food can carry  germs . Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces often when preparing any food, especially raw meat. Always wash fruits and vegetables. Cook and keep foods at proper temperatures.
